AF ARCH. / CLIENT INFORMATION
Privacy policy
Version dated 10 September 2026
We use your information to respond to your request and deliver our agreed services. Here you can find the purposes of processing, website rules and how to exercise your rights.
1. Who processes your information
Data controller: Ing.arch. Alžbeta Francisciová - AFarch, Company ID 55889832, business address Mikovíniho 31/15, Košice – Západ district, Slovakia. Studio: Hríbová, 040 11 Košice – Lorinčík. For personal data questions or to exercise your rights, contact info.afarch@gmail.com.
2. Enquiries, bookings and projects
We process your name, contact details, message, information about your space and requested service, files you attach and, for bookings, the appointment and any changes. These help us respond, prepare a quote and arrange a consultation or project. An estimate or saved inspiration attached to an enquiry becomes part of its brief. We also record consultations and agreed work in our internal calendar; information may also come from arrangements made by phone or email.
For steps taken at your request before entering a contract and for performing a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Marketing consent is not required for this. Other correspondence and feedback are handled under our legitimate interest in communicating and improving our services, under Article 6(1)(f). Billing records are also processed to meet legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c). We may retain necessary evidence of our work together to protect legal claims as a legitimate interest.
Required fields are needed to handle the relevant request; without them, we may be unable to reply or book a meeting. Other information is voluntary. Please do not send unnecessary identity documents, national identification numbers or health information. Remove other people’s details from photographs and floor plans unless needed for the brief.
3. How long we need your information
We retain enquiries, correspondence and bookings while handling them and during any resulting collaboration. Further retention depends on continuing discussions, a specific legal claim or a retention obligation. Project materials are retained during the work and afterwards as needed for agreed support, legal obligations and the exercise or defence of claims within the applicable periods. Accounting records are subject to statutory retention periods depending on the document type. We can explain the period applicable to your document on request.
Enquiry drafts are intended to be kept for 30 days from the last save, and analytics records for 90 days from the last activity; deletion occurs during record cleanup. Backups support recovery after a technical incident and do not replace active records. Deletions from active records take effect in backups as those backups are rotated.
4. Voluntary draft saving
If you allow a draft enquiry to be saved in the form, we save the entered information without attachments. The studio can also see the draft; it is not stored solely on your device. Saving a draft does not submit an enquiry or request contact. The basis is your voluntary consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it by deleting the draft in the form or emailing us. When you submit the enquiry, the draft is removed and the received message is handled under section 2.
5. Website analytics and the calculator
Optional analytics start only with your permission. Using random identifiers, we record the page path, device type, referring domain, active time, scroll depth, form step and completion. For the calculator, we also record selected parameters, the estimate and progression to PDF, enquiry or booking. Activity may be linked within the same session. These are pseudonymous, not necessarily anonymous, records; the analytics records themselves do not contain your name, email, message, attachments or full IP address.
The legal basis is consent. Refusing does not prevent you from submitting an enquiry. You can change your choice using Analytics preferences. Withdrawal stops further measurement and does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. You may request deletion of existing information by email; additional details may be needed to locate a pseudonymous record.
6. Cookies and browser storage
Essential session cookies support forms, bookings and sign-in. Local storage remembers your analytics choice (af-measure-choice) and selected inspiration (afarch-inspiracie). The visit session (af-visit) supports analytics you have allowed. The guide saves your unfinished vision without attachments, and an estimate can be transferred to a booking through session storage.
Saved inspiration is not sent to the studio until you attach it to an enquiry. You can delete your saved vision in the guide and local information in your browser settings. Local storage may persist after the browser closes; session storage is tied to its session. Blocking essential storage may limit the relevant feature.
7. Who may have access
We share information as needed with people handling your request and providers of technical services, hosting and email. The website is hosted by HostCreators; the studio’s email service is provided through Google. Relevant accounting, specialist or legal partners may receive information for accounting, agreed project coordination or protecting rights. We also provide information to public authorities when required by law.
External providers may process technical information outside the EEA. Transfers must be supported by an applicable adequacy decision or other GDPR safeguards. You can request information about the specific provider and safeguards relevant to your information by email. Google’s privacy information.
The embedded Google map loads automatically on the contact page and shows the studio’s location. Loading it connects your browser to Google, which may process your IP address and browser information and use its own storage. Separate map and social links open the respective providers’ services.
8. Photographs and reviews
Sending materials or feedback does not automatically give permission to publish your name, review or identifiable photographs. Promotional use is agreed separately. Copyright in a design does not replace the client’s privacy rights.
9. Your rights
Subject to GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. Not every right applies in every situation; a legal retention obligation may prevent immediate deletion of a document.
Contact info.afarch@gmail.com. We will verify your identity proportionately and normally respond within one month, informing you of any lawful extension and its reason. You may lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic. An indicative price calculation is not an automated decision about your rights or a binding order.
We use the af_language cookie for 180 days to remember the language you select. It is not used for analytics.
