BUILDING OF PLANETARIUM

"WISDOM COMES FROM THE STARS" - The shape of the architecture is different from the rectangular structures in the surrounding. The site is located on the hill, so it is ideal for observing the night sky. The shape consists of two basic ideas: firstly, the application of the intersection of circles and the inclination of the roof structure, which is inspired by the orbits of the planets. The concept also focused on the main line from the entrance of the building to the dome of the planetarium itself. This is considered to be the center point and the other spaces are arranged arround this line. The individual parts of the building are situated in the circles that are interconnected. The building is located on a flat part of the site and uses large glass facades oriented to the south, where is view of the city, and also expresses the connection with the surrounding. Inside the building is also an observatory, photo gallery, experiment room and small auditorium.
