This project intends to reach to three major goals: education, integration and sustainability. For education the building has stretched spiral shape that creates two courtyards. They have different dynamic, one is quiet and the other is active. The first courtyard is surrounded by classrooms. There is orchard, existing amarula tree and vegetable garden. The main purpose of preserving the tree and expanding the garden is to teach kids about care and cultivation of the land. For integration this school is designed to accommodate disabled children in social exclusion. The entire program is located in one line connected by single, softly inclined, covered exterior corridor. The school does not have hidden spaces that could cause bullying. For sustainability the project uses mainly locally sourced materials, solar electric panels, solar thermal collectors and collection of rain water.
