IMAGES DE METROPOLE
Bochnia is one of the most important places in the Krakow metropole system. It is the oldest salt mine in Poland. At the same time, it is the oldest european fabric, operating continuously since the 13th century. In 2013, it was added in the international UNESCO list. Bochnia, founded in 1253, is today an example of a medieval city, with a traditional atmosphere and a unique environment. Since the beginning, the city is associated with salt mining. Mining towers above the Campi, Sutoris and Trinitatis shafts, as well as other salt-mining buildings, create the bochnian spirit. The main idea of the project is to highlight this identity and create an interconnection with the historic city center. Revitalization and renewal of the city center by reorganization of two squares using appropriate architectural and landscaping corrections.
